It's difficult to think of anywhere better than Carmarthenshire when it comes to spending time in the 'Great Outdoors'. Although a relatively small area, Carmarthenshire has been described on many occasions as being being 'the whole of Wales squashed into one county'. Why, you ask? Well, here you can enjoy rolling green hills as well as rugged mountains; beautiful sandy beaches as well as dramatic moors; sparkling streams as well as rushing rivers and peaceful glens as well as ancient forests... This varied landscape makes Carmarthenshire the perfect outdoor activity location - inviting walkers, cyclists, horse riders and watersports enthusiasts to get up and go. Cycling & Mountain Biking If you enjoy exploring on two-wheels, the area has numerous cycle trails to suit all abilities. Long, flat routes ideal for family outings - as well as steep, forest trails such as Brechfa's Gorlech Trail for the more adventurous.
