The Boat House Bed & Breakfast, occupies prime location in the ancient Township of Laugharne and commands spectacular views across the imposing walls of Laugharne Castle which was destroyed by Oliver Cromwell in the 17th century.
Completely refurbished in the summer of 2006 - the premises were formerly one of the infamous Welsh poet and writer, Dylan Thomas’ favourite drinking haunts when he lived in Laugharne, more then half a century ago.
Today, you can relax and unwind on our comfortable, stylish rooms before enjoying the hospitality of the numerous bars and restaurants in the locality. The ambience is derived from an eclectic mix of old and new. Modern art sits comfortably alongside ancient beams and lime rendered walls.
The Boat House B&B is an ideal centre for visiting Carmarthenshire tourist attractions such as The Botanic Gardens and Aberglasney Gardens. Neighbouring Pembrokeshire is a few miles away with the towns of Narbeth, Tenby and St David’s close by.
Stay a few days and relax in one of our four stylish en suite bedrooms, reminiscent of a small boutique hotel, and have time to explore beautiful walks, stunning beaches and the fascinating history of the area.
