Set at the edge of a tiny hamlet close to Brechfa Forest with lovely, mature wooded gardens border by a stream to enjoy and a large decked area which has views over rolling green countryside for al fresco dining. Sir Clough Williams Ellis of Portmeirion fame designed this coach house and stable block now skilfully transformed into a stylish cottage with a mezzanine floor. Three bedrooms sleeping a maximum of 5 plus cot. One twin bedded room with sloping ceilings on mezzanine floor (off study area with 2 sofas, children’s TV and games table which overlooks the lounge), one double room, and one single room on ground floor.

Ty Mawr, an a la carte restaurant by the River Cothi and the Forest Arms pub for bar meals, are both within a 5 minute walk as is the village shop and a riverside walk – mountain bikes can also be hired from the local guest house. Salmon and sea trout fishing on the Cothi (in season) can be arranged with the owners who live next door in Brechfa House. There are country and forest walks and horse riding nearby and within a short drive is Aberglasney House and Gardens, National Botanic Garden of Wales, Dinefwr House and stunning Carreg Cnnan Castle perched on its crag. Lots to see and do – relive the age of steam with a ride on the Gwili Railway, visit the Dolaucouthi Roman Glod Mines, Laugharne and Dylan Thomas Boathouse and the longest beach in Wales – Cefn Sidan, 7 miles of golden sands. For fun family days out there is Oakwood Theme Park, Folly Farm and Tenby in south Pembrokeshire all within an hours drive. 3 Bedrooms sleeping a maximum of 5 plus cot. 1 twin bedded room with sloping ceilings on mezzanine floor (off study area with 2 sofas, children’s TV and games table which overlooks the lounge) 1 double, 1 single on ground floor. Bedlinen and towels (not for use on beach) provided. Bathroom with bath, toilet, washbasin and hand held shower over bath, heated towel rail, cupboard housing automatic washing machine on ground floor. Shower Room with toilet, washbasin and walk in shower, on ground floor. Lounge/Dining/Kitchen open plan with stairs to mezzanine floor, woodburning stove, two 3 seater sofas, TV/DVD/video, CD/radio, dining table and chairs seating 6, highchair, electric cooker, microwave, dishwasher, fridge with ice box, French door to large outdoor decking area. Fuel electric storage heaters inclusive May - Sept outside these dates £10 per week. Starter basket of logs, additional logs available at cost from owner. Electricity 40 units included, thereafter by £1 coin meter. Grounds large grounds with water feature and stream, large decking area with table and chairs, 2 loungers, barbecue and outdoor lighting.
