We are just a few minutes from the fabulous new Ffos Las Racecourse. Our delightful 17th Century former Canal Cottage is one of three within the grounds that we let for holidays. The cottages nestle in idyllic rural countryside with many natural meadows and woodland home to wildlife and many wild flowers. The charming six acre grounds also home to livestock of goats and chickens are bordered by the River Gwendraeth. Although of a rural location, the cottages are within easy reach of the excellent beaches on the Carmarthenshire coastline. The area is home to many historic sites such as the 13th Century Medieval Castle in Kidwelly one of Wales’s best preserved castles set on the Gwendraeth Estuary just a mile away. There are local shops, garages and good pubs within one mile of the cottages. Along with Little Owl and Wren, Jay is one of three cottages within the grounds that sleep up to 14-16 in total. Jay Cottage is spacious and comfortable with gas central heating, wood burner fireplace and beamed ceilings. Tastefully furnished to a high standard with fully equipped kitchen, bathroom with shower and bath. Childrens play area have swings, slide and toys for youngsters and for the dads and teenagers we have spacious meadow for a good kickabout. One can relax with a massage in the jacuzzi hottub ..... or meander around the lovely garens. Garden furniture and bar-b-que are there for your use. We often hear the low murmur of voices late of an evening with guests enjoying the night air and a glass or two …... |
